DESCRIPTION:NorQuest College invites you to attend the VR Soft Skills Training Program Business Launch on Sept 13th from 11am-3pm as a "come-and-go." Join us for refreshments and guest speaker Brett Ludwig from ELIXR Simulations\, speaking on the future of Virtual Reality in Business\, at this no-cost event. Then take the opportunity to experience the first of two Virtual Reality simulations created to help navigate perceived challenges in hiring more inclusively and from a diverse workforce pool.\n\n\n\nThe scenario that will be available for employers to experience focuses on situations one may experience with Autistic employees\, giving employers the education on how and why situations like these occur\, and giving them the language to speak respectfully and inclusively to employees to ensure the safety and well-being of all. \n\n\n\nEnsuring employers are educated in these workplace scenarios\, will help to remove any uncertainties they may feel when looking to hire from this workgroup.\n\n\n\nThe second scenario will be tailored to hiring managers and HR\, and will help them to navigate their own expectations and biases when interviewing individuals from equity seeking groups. \n\n\n\nHave questions\, but aren't able to attend on Sept 13th?
