Celebrated every year on May 25th, Afrika Day is a day of rejoicing for Africans and people of African descent worldwide. Edmonton's UBUNTU Festival is a vibrant, two-day celebration taking place on May 27th and 28th, right in the heart of the North Edge Business District.
Jointly organized by Habesha African Market, La Connexional, and the North Edge Business Association, this family-friendly festival highlights the rich diversity of African cultures and heritage, while promoting community-building and supporting small businesses & mom-and-pop shops that contribute to the vibrancy of 107 Avenue and the North Edge Business District.
The event offers attendees an immersive experience featuring live music, Ethiopian coffee ceremonies, food trucks, local vendors, and kid-friendly activities. In collaboration with esteemed partners, sponsors, and stakeholders, the UBUNTU Festival aims to foster cultural exchange, unity, and understanding, as well as contribute to the growth, revitalization, and development of Edmonton's diverse communities.
Ubuntu means "I Am Because We Are." In the spirit of UBUNTU, we invite you and your loved ones to celebrate and enjoy various activities on Saturday, May 27th, and Sunday, May 28th, at 10418 107 Ave NW. Grab your FREE pass now and see you there!
