Description

The Rose Campaign is a national advocacy campaign
to end violence against women, girls and gender minorities.

The Rose Campaign is YWCA Edmonton’s primary fundraising campaign, vital for supporting our work to end gender-based violence. This task isn’t simple, but it’s crucial. Gender-based violence takes a toll, causing both physical and emotional suffering for survivors, while imposing substantial economic and societal costs. Together, we must address the systemic gender inequality that fuels this violence.

Join us in this pivotal journey. Together, we can change the narrative, break down barriers, and create a safer, more equitable world for all.

Support the Rose Campaign and help raise $250,000
for our violence prevention and recovery programs.

How YWCA Edmonton Takes Action on Gender-Based Violence:

We all have a role to help end gender-based violence in our communities. Supporting YWCA Edmonton helps ensure thousands of individuals will receive the essential violence prevention and recovery programs they need to live healthy lives, free of violence.

Since 1907, YWCA Edmonton has been supporting and empowering women, girls, and gender-diverse people. Violence prevention and recovery are at heart of many of our programs:

  • Counselling Services offers complex trauma support to survivors of violence;
  • Youth Programming teaches youth essential life skills that will not only help them recognize violence in their life, but help them prevent it for themselves and others;
  • Healing retreats offered at Camp Yowochas connect families who have experienced violence with the opportunity to heal and rediscover who they are;
  • Our Advocacy works with all levels of government to alleviate immediate community need and create widespread systemic impact to improve the lives of women, girls and gender minorities in our community, our province, and beyond.
