Shaffina graduated from the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine as an Occupational Therapist. She began her career at Alberta Children’s Hospital, later running a private pediatric practice for six years.
In 2009, she joined Jetco Heavy Duty Lighting, the family business her father founded in 1988. Over the years, she gained experience in operations, product design, customer relations, and strategy. In 2023, she became President of Jetco, focusing on core strengths: customer service, product quality, and inventory availability. Shaffina values collaboration and listens closely to her team and customers. She volunteers as Lead for the Aga Khan Garden with the Ismaili Community and as a mentor with the ThresholdImpact Venture Mentoring Service at the University of Alberta. She was honored with a Business Leaders Award by Business in Edmonton. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, hiking, and time with her family.
