My name is Angie Amaris, I am an advocate for Human Rights who immigrated to Canada from Colombia in 2010 with my husband and my daughter. Since arriving in Canada, I have rapidly built a successful career in the non-profit sector.
?I have had over 10 years of experience working with Non-Profit organizations. In this time, I have worked in different fields and vulnerable populations, such as: combatting sexual abuse, commercial sexual exploitation, domestic violence with families and individuals, homeless population and I am currently working with Selections supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to find employment.
I feel that in my short time at Selections I have learned a lot from the individuals that we serve, they inspire my day to day. I am amazed by their work ethic, love, resilience, and dedication. I hope that my passion leads me to make positive contributions in this field.
